Gideon's army started out with 32k men; he then told the men who felt "afraid" they could go. This left 10K men, after God gave him one more test, it left him with 300 men. This is just about 1% of the original army, all good men I'm sure, but it takes a special man to make it to that 1%. Interesting the same number of men who fought in the battle of Thermopylae (300 movie).
